We are looking for friendly, confident, outgoing and enthusiastic people to join our Edinburgh Fringe Street Team for 2023.

Job Description

Our 2023 Edinburgh portfolio consists of 7 productions including physical theatre, comedy, opera, new writing, family shows and musical theatre in venues ranging from 60 seats to 1200.

The flyering team is a key element of all of our shows’ marketing campaigns and every year we look to put together a group of people who are keen to work hard and play hard, and to take on the challenge of building audiences for all of our productions.

This is a great chance to see behind the scenes of the Festival, to meet people, gain an insight into the arts industry which could help with future career plans, as well as experience the Festival. As part of our Street Team, you will see all of our shows (so that you can confidently and truthfully talk about them to potential audiences!), meet the artists and will receive venue passes which will give you the opportunity to see shows for free in your spare time.

Who you are:

  • Ideally you will have good knowledge of Edinburgh city to be able to get to multiple locations easily and when requested

  • Ideally you will have been to or worked at the Edinburgh Fringe / another arts festival before

  • Some experience in customer service, public facing and/or sales roles is desirable

  • You will have an interest in theatre and the arts

  • You will be polite and positive (even in the face of Edinburgh rain, as this job involves a lot of time being spent outdoors) and very happy to talk to the general public!

  • Available from 31st July - 28th August

  • Due to the nature of the role, the hours involved and that some flyering will necessarily take place on licensed premises, you must be aged 18 or over as of 30th July 2023.
